About the Program

The Midnight Kitchen Collective runs a free prepared meal program. Meals are vegan and nut-free, and each meal will include a nutritious main course, a side and a dessert.

Our lunch program is available to McGill undergraduate and graduate students, as well as community members. This program is targeted to low-income students, and/or students with disabilities, chronic illness, mental health conditions, or other impairments, who self-identify as benefiting from access to food through Midnight Kitchen.

Location: SSMU Ballroom (University Centre, 3rd Floor), 3480 McTavish Street

Schedule: Service is on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 1pm but please check our calendar for exact dates.

Masking: For Covid safety reasons, we encourage our service users to wear a mask while picking up their food, circulating in the space and take their meal to go if they are able. There are also masks available at the building entrance and we will leave some by the ballroom entrance.

Accessibility info

The pickup location will now be inside of the University Center, located at 3480 rue McTavish, at the Downtown Campus. The building is accessible via a ramp or stairs, and contains an elevator. There are gender-neutral as well as wheelchair-accessible bathrooms in the building.

If you have any accessibility concerns about entering the building, because of Covid-19 risk factors or otherwise, PLEASE email us and we will come up with a solution. We will try our best to accommodate within our capacity, and want to emphasize that we put staff and participants' health first.
